The Wermsdorfer Chocolaterie is idyllically located near the Horstsee. Founded in 2011, it has now become an authority in chocolate and praline production. The craft business, under the management of chocolatier Olav Praetsch, lovingly produces all delicacies by hand from regional, sustainably produced and fairly traded ingredients. And the variety of products is huge: you can find pretty much everything your heart - or rather your palate - desires among the chocolate bars: whole milk with local hazelnuts, dark chocolate with figs or white chocolate with poppy seeds are just a few examples.
A special feature of the Cholocatier is the "Wermsdorfer Nusskrem" with 50% nut content, because almost all of the ingredients of this regional product come from the area around Wermsdorf. It is the first nutty spread that is produced exclusively with organic hazelnuts from German - or more precisely Saxon - cultivation.
All chocolate and nougat lovers are welcome to come to Wermsdorf and visit the chocolate shop with its showroom, factory outlet and tasting options, as well as the charming café. Workshops and events on the subject of chocolate are also offered here.
