City park with "Deichgucker" observation tower

After the State Garden Show in Torgau (2022), a valuable recreational area in the middle of the town has been preserved. This includes the "Deichgucker", which offers a view of the Elbe, the historic railroad bridge, the town and Hartenfels Castle. The castle itself dates back to the early German Renaissance and was inhabited by Elector Johann Friedrich, among others. Visitors who are young or young at heart can also replace the descent with a slide down the tube slide.
