City tour "Tracing the Peaceful Revolution"

Short facts

The city tour recalls the historical development of 1989 at prominent points in Leipzig's city center.

Every Saturday at 2 pm, the museum in the round corner offers a city tour to the most important sites of the Peaceful Revolution in Leipzig. The tour leads, among other places, to Nikolaikirchhof, where the call for freedom was heard as early as spring '89, to Augustusplatz, where mass rallies took place in the fall, and along Leipziger Ring, the marching route of the demonstrations. During the city tour you will also experience, how Leipzig has developed since 1989.

The tour addresses especially youth groups and young adults, to whom the Peaceful Revolution is memorably conveyed. Booked groups are also equipped with mobile headphones so that each participant can follow the group guide acoustically without any problems.
The city tour starts every Saturday at 2 pm at the main portal of Nikolaikirche.
