The old water tower is located to the north-east of the Leipzig district of Mockau and is now a climbing facility that is unique in Europe. The tower, which has been closed since 1977, was renovated between 2001 and 2004 and converted into a climbing tower. Since its opening, it has been possible to climb on and over a total of three levels. There are routes on the outer facade and inside the tower. Outside, these reach a height of up to 40 meters, while indoors, heights of up to 30,5 meters can be reached.Introductory and introductory courses are offered for beginners. Refreshments can be enjoyed in the cozy restaurant.
