The Leipzig dance and theatre festival – political, aesthetic, inclusive

euro-scene Leipzig was founded in 1991 and takes place every year at the beginning of November. Within six days, the festival shows 12 to 14 dance and theatre pieces from and about Europe and its global interdependencies. This makes euro-scene Leipzig one of the city's cultural highlights.

From November 7 to 12, 2023, world and German premieres as well as guest performances from Belgium, France, Greece, Kosovo, Portugal, Slovenia and the Ukraine, among others, will be presented on various stages in the city. The programme focus is contemporary theatre and innovative dance that challenges: courageous, contemporary pieces, politically relevant performances and works that touch the senses, impress aesthetically and lead to a dialogue. The performances are complemented by discourse programmes, talks, film screenings and scenic readings. Due to premieres and co-productions with partners all over Europe, the festival shines far beyond Leipzig.

The programme of euro-scene Leipzig 2023 will be published on September 27, 2023 on www.euro-scene.de. Advance ticket sales for this year's festival will start on September 30, 2023 at the festival box office in the IntercityHotel Leipzig (Tröndlinring 2), on 0341-217 16 48 and www.euro-scene.de.
