The former social building of stonemason Gleisberg was built in 1936 and included a lounge, cloakroom, drying room, and 68 seats. In 2014, it was reopened as the Porphyrhaus Geoportal, offering geotourism services.
The Porphyrhaus Geoportal is a geoportal of the "Porphyrland. Steinreich in Sachsen" Geopark – a certified National Geopark in Germany. It makes special geological features from the Earth's past visible and draws attention to the region's wealth of rocks, quarries, and rare raw materials.
