German Photography Museum

Short facts

The German Photography Museum's unique collection presents the artistic and technical history of photography in an impressive way.

Housed in a building with futuristic architecture, the German Photography Museum in Markkleeberg will take you on a journey through the history of photography. At a permanent exhibition entitled "The Fascination of Photography" as well as at a series of shorter exhibitions, various milestones in photography are honoured and photographic works of art are shown. Furthermore, numerous and often rare cameras from different decades tell the story of technical developments in photography over the years. It is the perfect place for lovers of photography and anyone who would like to find out more about it.
