The Leipzig Gosenschenke "Ohne Zweifel" is the only tavern of its kind still in existence and is one of the traditional Leipzig pubs. Above all, it is the right place to go for Leipzig's regional product! The name goes back to the waiter Karl Schmidt, who always answered the question "Can you drink the Gose?" with the words "Ohne Zweifel." Gose, an old Leipzig beer, is served neat, with a shot or with liqueur. Since 2017, there has been a small brewery in the Gosenschenke, where the "Edelgose", which was awarded "Gold" at the "World Beer Awards" in 2019, is brewed. In 2018, the "Kellergold" was added, and in 2020 the "Schwarzer Hahn". There are also interesting craft beers to enjoy seasonally.
Consisting of a restaurant, beer cellar, club room and large beer garden, the Gosenschenke awaits its guests in historical garb with old Saxon dishes on the menu. With free entry, you can also experience live barbecue and beer garden parties here. The traditional St. Martin's goose dinner takes place every year in November.
