The castle park is located in a district of Dahlen, a heathland city. The small town is a real gem for those looking to relax and recover in its fresh air, and who want to linger peacefully in its clean surroundings. There is no disturbing noise from traffic nor rushing around. Time and time again, visitors can make new discoveries, observe animals and enjoy the breathtaking nature. Let yourself be enchanted. The avenues in the castle and the water features in the park work to adorn the area. In the spring, the rhododendron bushes blossom, whilst in autumn, collecting chestnuts is a most fruitful activity. With its trees and shrubs, a visit to the park offers a welcome respite from the summer sun. The park's connection with nature is best expressed through its reinstated fish pond and minimally developed forest area with its "riverside forest-style" feel, as well as the mausoleum. The park's variety of English oak trees constitutes one of its highlights. The commemorative oak tree with a trunk diameter of approx. 200 cm is a particularly special example. At the foot of the commemorative oak tree lies a monument in memory of fallen soldiers from the First World War. An old chestnut tree-lined avenue runs alongside the large island pond.
