Haus Böttchergässchen is one of the many buildings of the Museum of City History and can also be found in the city centre.
The Stadtgeschichtliches Museum has captured Leipzig's city history and spread it over numerous exhibitions and museum holdings throughout the city. In addition to the Old Town Hall, the Monument to the Battle of the Nations & FORUM 1813 or the Schillerhaus, there is also Haus Böttchergässchen in the street of the same name. Not far from the market square and the Old Town Hall, Haus Böttchergässchen is home to the management, administration and central archive of the Museum of City History. Several special exhibitions give you a historico-cultural view into Leipzig's past, which is complemented by an extensive library and photo archive.
Admission is free on the first Wednesday of every month.
