New life in an old wine bar - Horns Erben in Leipzig's Südvorstadt is a permanent fixture in the Leipzig cultural scene.
In 1923, Wilhelm Horn founded his distillery, the old sparkling wine cellar in Arndtstrasse. "Horns Weinstube" was the flagship of 46 stores. At the end of 2004, four students discovered the historic space and breathed new life into it. Initially it was a "living room for friends". Today, Horns Erben is a popular stage for concerts, readings and theatre performances.
At Horns, Sundays are reserved for watching Tatort, a German police procedural series. Here you can enjoy the German crime drama in pleasant company on a large screen. Horns Erben is run by volunteers and offers you not only culture but also freshly cooked meals every evening.
