Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

  • Pedestrian zone
Leipzig's southern mile, the KarLi, is known for its many bars, cafés and pubs. Be it for a quick beer after work or an extensive pub crawl.
KarLi is located in the student-alternative district of Leipzig-Südvorstadt and is one of Leipzig's most famous streets. This is where the squatter scene and club culture merged in the early 1990s.

Today, the outstanding feature is therefore the network of culture and international gastronomy, which you can enjoy on the numerous outdoor seating areas, especially in the summer months. Particularly worth seeing places along the KarLi include the "Löffelfamilie" at the delicatessen area, the house designed by Fischer-Art (No. 43), the naTo and many more.
