The Taucha manor house was shaped by historic events. The manor house, which was previously used as a horse stable, is being maintained and expanded by the Taucha Castle Association.
In 1542, the then lord of Taucha, Wilhelm von Haugwitz the Younger, had a castle built on the castle hill. The castle and manor often provided shelter and accommodation in various wars and emergencies. Later it was converted into a cow and pig stable and then into a horse stable. In 1996, the manor was finally taken over by the town of Taucha. The Taucha Castle Association was founded. It is entrusted with ensuring the preservation and further expansion of the manor castle.
There is also a manor museum on the grounds of the manor castle.
