The mechanical action system was retained during this redesign. In 2000, the organ was repaired by the company Bochmann, Kohren - Sahlis. With a comprehensive renovation in 2021/22 by the organ building company Peiter, the organ façade has now been returned: The original Kreutzbach prospectus from 1855 was reconstructed and rebuilt, making the Pegau organ the largest surviving work by Urban Kreutzbach, not only in terms of pipes but also visually.
