In Leipzig, this concept has proven its worth: old factory sites are not demolished, but converted for cultural projects. The hip centre of the south is in the former material testing facility at Connewitzer Kreuz and is known as "Werk 2". Concerts are in Hall A and there is always something going on or to see. But that isn't all. The Kulturfabrik's four associations also offer creative workshops, pottery courses, a bar and culture of all kinds for young and old. The Cammerspiele inspires with its unconventional theatre and manifold performances.
