Leipzig climbing tower
The KletterTurm in Mockau is a climbing facility in Leipzig that is unique in Europe and features an outdoor and indoor climbing wall.
The old water tower, which is now a unique climbing facility in Europe, is located to the north-east of Leipzig's Mockau district. The tower, which has been closed since 1977, was renovated from 2001 to 2004 and converted into a climbing tower. Since its opening, it has been possible to climb on and over a total of three levels. There are routes to climb on the outer façade and inside the tower. Outside, these reach up to a height of 40 meters, while heights of up to 30.5 meters can be reached in the indoor area.Taster and beginner courses are offered for beginners. Refreshments are served in the cozy restaurant.
