Leipzig School Museum

Short facts

These unique collections of original objects from 100 years of school history are the highlight of the school museum.

The Leipzig School Museum depicts the changes that have shaped education over the last 100 years. Three epochs of Leipzig's school history fill 800 m² of exhibition space: "School in the Imperial Era", "School under the Swastika" and "School in the GDR".

You can experience school history with all your senses with original objects in authentically recreated classrooms and lessons from different times. Exhibitions, workshops and projects on education and resistance round off the programme.
