With Leipzig/Halle Airport, the Leipzig region has a modern and efficient gateway to global business and tourism markets.
Leipzig/Halle Airport was one of the largest airports in Germany when it was founded in 1927. AP Brunnert and Partner were responsible for the master plan and architecture. The central terminal, which was built within four years, connects the ICE-capable long-distance railway station with public transport, check-in area, multi-storey car park and a shopping mall under one roof and, due to its intermodal characteristics, guarantees both excellent accessibility and enormous growth potential.
Since 1990, the airport has been developed into one of the most modern airports in Europe. Numerous investments today guarantee the best possible connections to the Leipzig's road network, the region and all of Central Germany. The airport also offers space for events of all kinds.
