Martin Schulte (ship tours on the MS Weltfrieden)

Short facts

The MS Weltfrieden is a 70-year-old Leipzig original and has been operating on the Karl Heine Canal and the Weiße Elster since 1998.

The ship MS Weltfrieden was built in Parchim in 1945 and operated on the Auensee in Leipzig until 1990. A private initiative saved the boat from being scrapped and it has been sailing on the Weiße Elster and the Karl Heine Canal since 1998.

The route leads from the former mortar factory in Lindenau to the Plagwitz Bridge, from where the journey continues on the Weiße Elster. A wonderful outing for the whole family, which is also impressive due to the pleasant command of the experienced ship captain.
