Mining Mill in Bad Düben

Short facts

Until 1956, the mill rattled over the noisy hollow until it was transformed in the 60's into the castle gardens.

At the foot of Düben Castle, the Mining Mill stood in the former moat. In operation since the 17th century, often damaged by fire and flood and in constant repair and renewal, it was the last ship mill in Germany. Until 1956, the mill rattled over the noisy hollow until it was transformed in the 60's into the castle gardens. Since the 10th German National Mill day on the 9th of June 2003, its reconstruction to its original form from 1905 could be seen.
