New Exhibition Grounds

The decision to build a new exhibition center was made in the early 90s. The architects from Gerkan Marg + Partner designed the glass hall, which is characterized by transparency, clarity and straight lines. With a floor area of ​​20.000 m², these dimensions are unique in Europe for a steel and glass construction.

Visitors enter the 5 exhibition halls with more than 100.000 m² of covered exhibition space through glass tubes. The infrastructure of the exhibition center also includes 70.000 m² of open-air space and the Congress Center Leipzig (CCL for short). The exhibition tower located on the site is the landmark of the new Leipzig Trade Fair and bears the Leipzig Trade Fair logo with the famous double M on the upper part.
