As befits Leipzig, the New Theatre on Lützner Strasse exudes a good portion of rough charm and draws on the heritage of industrial culture. The theatre opened in 2010 in the premises of an old printing works with a small but fine auditorium for 120 theatre lovers. Modern and classic plays are staged here, often with an experimental twist. The audience loves it. The New Theatre is an ideal addition to the world of Leipzig theatres and is definitely worth a visit. After the performance, there is a nightcap in the associated theatre pub Tante Manfred - the perfect recipe for a successful evening.
