High above the treetops of the Leipzig flood plain forest, the observation tower attracts all visitors to see spectacular views of the green city of Leipzig.

Anyone looking for a very special view of Leipzig can enjoy it from the observation tower in the Rosental. Surrounded by the Leipzig floodplain forest, the city's green lung, the observation tower offers a breathtaking view over treetops, parks and Leipzig's skyline. The 20m high tower is affectionately called "Wackelturm" by the people of Leipzig because it swings back and forth on windy days. After a walk in the countryside and in good weather, it is worthwhile to climb the numerous steps. You will be rewarded with a new perspective and a wonderful view over Leipzig and the region. Many Leipzig sights can be spotted from here. The observation tower is hidden in the alluvial forest near the Marienweg and the sewage plant at the Pathe.
