SHIP AHOY!

Passenger shipping in Leipzig's New Lake District offers scheduled, round and on-demand cruises from April to October on Lake Markkleeberg or with canal passage and sluicing to Lake Störmthal. Also possible are special trips on the occasions of family, company, Christmas or wedding parties.

The passenger ships "Wachau" and "Störmthal" can accommodate a total of 120 passengers. During the high season (May to beginning of October) we travel twice a day and Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday four times from the lake promenade of Lake Markkleeberg through the canal with sluice to Lake Störmthal to the harbour of the holiday resort "Lagovida" and back (three-hour tour).

The passenger ship "Markkleeberg" is the largest of the three passenger ships and can accommodate up to 400 people. From May to beginning of October the 1-hour tour goes several times a day over Lake Markkleeberg with stopover at Auenhainer Bucht.

The passenger ships were built according to the latest technology and the high environmental requirements of the Leipzig New Lake District. They are wheelchair accessible and feature air conditioning and heating. As "Kopflander", it is possible to step on and off the boat at any landing stage. Bicycles can also be transported.

The varied on-board catering takes care of your physical well-being.
