Rühle organ in the Georg Bähr Church in Schmannewitz

Short facts

Wilhelm Rühle (1932 - 1988) and his firm were commissioned to build the new organ, which was finally inaugurated in 1977.

In the course of extensive restoration work on the church in the 1960s, including the renovation of the church tower, a new organ was also planned and the Wilhelm Rühle company was commissioned. The organ replaces a non-preserved instrument from 1841. In 1996/97, the organ was restored by the Christian Scheffler organ workshop. Concerts are held regularly in the church in summer.
