Schaubühne Lindenfels
The Schaubühne Lindenfels consists of the historic ballroom, where theater, concerts and other events take place, the Grüner Salon, which is mainly used as an arthouse cinema, and a restaurant. In addition to its own productions, the theater focuses on co-productions with local artists and guest performances by international companies. With its unique acoustics, the ballroom also offers an ideal space for music and is therefore regularly used for concerts. These are often far removed from conventional concert formats: interdisciplinary, multimedia and cross-genre.Next door, in the cinema, independent productions find a screen and cineastes discuss cinematic art in the weekly KlubKinoKlub. Film festivals such as the DOK Leipzig and the French Film Festival are an integral part of the program and the little ones can enjoy children's films at the KiKi Kino. Every last Sunday of the month, there are cinema detectives, where children can take part in a special media education program after the film. The offer is aimed at children between 6-10 years of age.
