The Schaubühne Lindenfels consists of the historic ballroom, in which theatre, concerts and other events take place, and the Green Salon, which is mainly used as a cinema and restaurant. The theatre focuses not only on its own productions but also on co-productions with local artists and guest performances by international companies. With its unrivalled acoustics, the ballroom also offers an ideal space for music and is therefore regularly used for concerts. These are often far removed from conventional concert formats: interdisciplinary, multimedia and genre-spanning.Next door, independent productions find a screen in the cinema and cinephiles discuss film art in the weekly KlubKinoKlub. Film festivals such as the DOK Leipzig and the French Film Days are an integral part of the programme.
