The Schildberg, at 217.2 m above sea level, is one of the most elevated points in the region. From the 26-metre-high Schildberg tower, you can enjoy a fascinating view of the nature conservation area of the Dahlen Heath, and over the town of Schildau and its surrounding villages. The Schildberg tower, made of quartz porphyry found in the quarry at the foot of the hill, was built in 1936.
