The exhibition is dedicated to those who were wounded during fighting and who fought for their lives under unimaginable conditions. The museum shows the little-noticed side of the war in 1813 - military medicine, especially war surgery was still in its infancy, narcotics did not exist, the chances of survival were very low. Special exhibits featured in the museum are the pewter dioramas for the medical and military hospital of the Napoleonic era and battlefield finds from around Seifertshain. The almost originally preserved ensemble of (museum) barn, rectory, church, cemetery with individual and mass grave for the fallen of 1813 and the tombs of the parents of Auguste Vater are unique. In the future, the focus will increasingly be on the life of French chief surgeon Baron Dominique-Jean Larrey and the role he played in the military medical system.
