In October 2008, the spa and city museum was opened. The museum is centrally located on the market in one of the oldest and most beautiful, elaborately and monumentally renovated town houses in the city, directly next to spa and tourist information. It mainly exhibits factual information on the interesting development of Lausigk/ Bad Lausick into a spa and seaside resort, and the city's history.
Since the 12th century, Lausigk has had a pronounced impact on the region in administration, ecclesiastical and at time military aspects. This information is exhibited thoroughly and in an engaging manner. Of special interest, however, is the discovery and recovery of curative waters, and how Lausick became a renowned spa and seaside resort.
The museum is equipped with an audiovisual and a listening station that provide guests with facts about historic spa treatments, and the brilliance of the Silbermann organ in Trampeli-Lausicks St. Kilian Church.
