The Church of St. Peter was the seat of the archpriest who was responsible for the area around Rochlitz. It is one of the two Protestant-Lutheran churches in Rochlitz. The church was first mentioned in documents in the 12th century. In 1470, the actual Romanesque building of the St. Petri Church was modified in the Gothic style.
