pedestrian zone
Steibs Hof is an example of neo-baroque in Leipzig. The sandstone decoration surpasses even the richest 18th century townhouse facades.
The passage Steibs Hof, which was primarily designed as a trade fair palace, is named after the Leipzig architect Felix Steib, who had the commercial building built in 1907. The architectural mix of historicism and Art Nouveau is particularly striking, with a strikingly decorated sandstone portal in neo-baroque style. The building is also overseen by two lion sculptures above the main cornice and is covered in the inner courtyard with a glass roof in the shape of a globe.

Today, the passage with its two white and blue tiled courtyards is connected to the Dussmann House on Brühl and houses, among other things, the N'Ostalgie Museum.
