The Leipzig Christmas Market at Market Square

Short facts

Every year, the market square in the middle of Leipzig's historic old town is home to many stands as well as Santa Claus' office hours and the Christmas tree.

The Leipzig Christmas Market is one of the oldest Christmas markets in Germany. Situated in the heart of Leipzig's historic old town, the market boasts around 250 stands, making it a highly sought-after tourist magnet. Experience the many culinary delights as well as other attractions, such as Santa Claus' office hours and the trombone players' concerts, on Leipzig's market square.

The Christmas tree also finds its own place here every year, towering over the entire market square. All other markets and stalls in the historic old town can be reached on foot via the adjacent streets.
