Where wallpaper was once manufactured, artists and creative people now work. With its clinker facades, hall buildings, workshop areas and office buildings, the wallpaper factory is a typical example of industrial architecture from the Wilhelminian era. The 4.400 square meter area still has room for new ideas and tenants who want to help gradually expand the wallpaper factory - preserving its substance, improving its value and preserving the charm of the historic industrial architecture.
Almost 20 artists wield their brushes in the old industrial halls. The works are exhibited in the in-house galleries. Design and craft businesses have also set up shop here. For those who don't want their own office, there is the alternative of getting a place in the "Raumstation" co-working community at the Leipzig wallpaper factory.
Twice a year, the wallpaper factory also hosts the wallpaper factory festival, which offers new exhibitions, music and culinary delights as well as a glimpse behind the scenes. In the studios, you can talk to the designers, photographers and architects.
