The Tapetenwerk, on the site of a former wallpaper factory, has been offering space for artists and creatives in eight factory buildings from the Wilhelminian era since 2007.

Artists and creatives now work where wallpaper used to be produced. With its clinker brick facades, hall buildings, workshop areas and office buildings, the Tapetenwerk is a typical example of the industrial architecture of the Wilhelminian era. There is still room in the 4,400 square meter site for new ideas and tenants who want to help successively expand the Tapetenwerk - preserving and upgrading the substance and preserving the charm of the historic industrial architecture.

Nearly 20 artists wield their brushes in the old industrial halls. Their works are exhibited in the in-house galleries. Design and craft businesses have also set up shop here. If an office of your own is not an option for you, you have the alternative of finding a space in the "Raumstation" coworking community at Leipziger Tapetenwerk.

Two times a year, the Tapetenwerk also hosts the Tapetenwerk Festival, which offers insights behind the scenes as well as new exhibitions, music and culinary delights. In the studios, you can talk to the designers, photographers and architects.
