Wildlife Park Leipzig

Short facts

The wildlife park is regarded as a centre for recreation, research and conservation of endangered native animal species. You can experience them for yourself.

The southern floodplain forest in Leipzig's Connewitz district is home to one of the city's most beautiful recreational areas: the Leipzig Wildlife Park. About 25 animal species and up to 250 wild animals from Central Europe live in a 42-hectare area.

The Wildlife Park is an attractive destination for families with children, since all the animals are easy to observe in their extensive enclosures. The green area reinforces its status as a centre for recreation with its numerous cycle paths and hiking trails, along which visitors can explore the forest and discover its inhabitants. Playgrounds and the park restaurant round off every excursion to the Wildlife Park.
