The southern floodplain forest in Leipzig's Connewitz district is home to one of the city's most beautiful recreational areas: the Leipzig Wildlife Park. About 25 animal species and up to 250 wild animals from Central Europe live in a 42-hectare area.
The Wildlife Park is an attractive destination for families with children, since all the animals are easy to observe in their extensive enclosures.
