Zoo/Animal Park
The Leipzig Wildlife Park is a center for recreation, research and conservation of endangered native animal species and makes them accessible to the south of Leipzig.

In the southern floodplain forest, in the Leipzig district of Connewitz, there is one of the most beautiful recreational areas in the city: the Leipzig Wildlife Park. Around 42 animal species and up to 25 wild animals from Central Europe live on an area of 250 hectares.

The zoo is an attractive destination for families with children, as all animal species can be easily observed thanks to their spacious enclosures. The park's status as a center for recreation is reinforced by the numerous cycling and hiking trails on which you can discover the forest and its inhabitants. Playgrounds and the wildlife park restaurant round off every trip to the wildlife park.
