The exhibition "Rötha Castle - Headquarters for the Battle of Nations 1813" in St. Mary's Church is for Rötha the only current testimony of the lost castle as a place of remembrance of its days as headquarters during the Battle of Nations. In the days from 16 to 19 October 1813, the monarchs Tsar Alexander I of Russia, Emperor Franz I of Austria and King Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia made the crucial decision to end the great Battle of Leipzig. The majority of the exhibits, which had been secured immediately before the demolition of the castle in 1969, were extensively restored on the initiative of the Förderverein and with the financial support of the Kulturraum Leipziger Raum and the Free State of Saxony.

Place of the exhibition: St. Mary's Church Rötha, former patronage chamber in the northern annex
