Climbing in the Quarries

Climbing tour

Climbing in the quarries © D. Thomas

In the Leipzig region, several quarries serve as training grounds for mountain climbers and rock climbing enthusiasts. The so-called Leipzig Climbing School on Kohlenberg near Brandis as well as the quarries of the Hohburger mountains near Wurzen are among the most famous climbing areas.

East of Eilenburg, climbers will find a true paradise of opportunities: the Hohburger Berge.

Near Brandis, not far from the city of Leipzig, the Ostbruch offers optimal conditions for beginners.
