Lampertswalde Castle Park
Park with botanical treasures
The former manor in Lampertswalde, which was built at the end of the 14th century, is well worth a visit. It boasts a well-kept park, rare botanical treasures, a restored gardener's house that has been converted into an apartment - and since recently - a café too. The botanical treasures include a 6-metre-thick sycamore tree, a tulip tree, and a pyramid-shaped oak tree. In spring, the crocus field is particularly amazing. After the "fall of the wall", the baroque garden was endowed with redesigned paths and acorn plants.
