The Botanical Garden of the University of Leipzig brings together plants from the most diverse vegetation zones of the earth on an area of around three hectares. These are distributed across the apothecary garden, the greenhouses, the scent and touch garden and the open space of the complex.

A special highlight is the butterfly house, where you can experience butterflies in a natural environment and up close.
School classes and kindergarten groups are also welcome in the Botanical Garden. For younger visitors, there are experiential educational activities, summer theater and guided tours.
