Lake Cospuden

The development of Lake Cospuden from a brown coal mine to a lively leisure oasis is exemplary for the region. The Zöbigker harbor with water sports, restaurants, passenger boat trips, sauna, bike and boat rental is a popular meeting place for young and old. On the north bank, Saxony's longest sandy beach invites you to swim and play beach volleyball. Water hikers can paddle on water course 1 from the city harbor in the heart of Leipzig to Lake Cospuden. There is a wonderful view from the Bistumshöhe tower over the Neue Harth and the BELANTIS leisure park.

To the port of Zöbigker:
Bus: (106) Stop Zöbigker, Schmiede - approx. 500 m walk
S-Bahn: Markkleeberg stop, Großstädteln - approx. 2 km walk

To the north beach:
Bus: (65), seasonal (79) Stop Cospudener See, Erlebnisachse or Nordstrand - approx. 300 m walk

Beach areas: North beach (with barrier-free bathing jetty), East beach

Ports/Marinas/Berths: sailing harbor at Pier 1

At Seeblick, the easternmost beach pavilion, wheelchair users can also swim thanks to a barrier-free bathing jetty. From a sloping jetty, you can drive your wheelchair directly into the water and swim from the end of the jetty.
The north beach also has a wheelchair-accessible changing room and a toilet with a EURO key.
Those affected can park near the barrier-free footbridge.
