The lovingly designed, barrier-free zoo is just a few minutes' walk from the Baroque palace and Delitzsch's old town. Approximately 400 animals of around 100 species live here, including meerkats, flamingos, zebras, coatis, and crowned cranes. The two new additions, Taya and Zuri, two female servals, have settled in well and are curiously exploring their 1.200-square-meter territory. These fascinating little cats are waiting to be discovered.
In a large, walk-in bird aviary, benches invite you to linger and take a little safari into the local birdlife. Many species can be listened to and observed. Numerous play stations spread throughout the grounds make the visit an experience for the whole family. The team at the "Zafari Station" cafeteria provides refreshments with homemade delicacies and a cozy, covered outdoor seating area right by the entrance.
