Hofmolkerei Bennewitz

The Bennewitz farm dairy has 730 dairy cows grazing in the Torgau region, is a family-run business and produces natural, regional products. The milk processed here comes from cows that are kept in a species-appropriate manner and is milked using environmentally friendly farming methods and then carefully processed into fresh milk, buttermilk, whey or curd. This preserves the best components of the milk, vitamins, calcium and flavourings. The cheese is also produced without preservatives, colourings or flavour enhancers. Nutrient-rich sour cream butter is also produced here in the old craft tradition. The products are also sold at the Leipzig weekly market at the Alte Rahaus and at weekly markets around Torgau.

A special feature of the site are the visitor display windows, through which you can take a look at the production of dairy products and the cheese ripening room. In summer, seating areas with coffee and ice cream invite you to linger.
