The Catholic Church of Our Lady was built in 1907 and 1908, with the neo-Romanesque architectural style emerging from the designs of the Leipzig architect Anton Käppler. Since 1931, a branch of the oratory has been located in the west of Leipzig. Further structural changes to the interior of the church ensured that it was adapted to the liturgical movement in order to deepen the understanding of church services. The Church of Our Lady, near the Leipzig-Plagwitz S-Bahn station, is also a venue for the Leipzig Jazz Days.
