The Rennbahnweg playground, or Rennbahnspielplatz as it is called by the locals, is rarely empty. It is one of the most popular and beautiful playgrounds in Leipzig.
The spacious playground offers a wide range of games with Slides, climbing opportunities, jump band, Swings and a special area for very little ones.
On hot summer days it is nice and shady and when the water pump is in operation, the playground turns into a cooling mud paradise.
You can easily spend half a day here, because the adjacent snack also provides food, ice cream and drinks for the female well-being.
Or perhaps you would prefer a picnic in the adjacent green areas? Clara Zetkin Park has plenty of those, of course.
A visit to the racecourse can of course be combined with a walk through the beautiful Clara Park along the Elster flood bed and a break in the glass house or music pavilion.

If you take bus line 89 and get off at the Telemannstraße bus stop, the playground is just a few minutes' walk away.
Easily accessible by car via Schleußiger Weg and the B2. Parking is available on Karl-Tauchnitz-Straße or directly at the race track.
