In the Saxon Pharmacy Museum, you will be introduced to the history of various medicines and devices through exhibitions and lectures.


The Saxon Pharmacy Museum in the former Central Pharmacy at Thomaskirchhof was opened in 1999 on the initiative of the Saxon Pharmacists Association.

In total, the museum houses around 1.000 historical exhibits, including objects such as medicines, vessels, equipment, packaging, documents, books and letters. The Central Pharmacy was founded in 1836 as the Homeopathic Central Office by the pharmacist Adolph Täschner.
