The Schildberg, at 217,2 m above sea level, is one of the highest elevations in the region. From the 26 m high Schildberg tower, you have a fascinating view over the Dahlener Heide nature reserve as well as the town of Schildau and the surrounding villages. The Schildberg tower was built in 1936 from quartz porphyry from the quarry at the foot of the mountain.
