Count von Bünau had the castle park laid out in 1808, together with a castle street in the English style. Towards the end of the 19th century, the park was transformed into a landscape park, incorporating the existing Dahle floodplain. In spring in particular, the park is a riot of colour thanks to thousands of blooming anemones. In the park east of the former castle (now preserved as a ruin) there is one of the oldest tulip trees in Saxony. The special features include the lines of sight towards the Dahle floodplain, the town hall, the terraces of the castle and the half-moon pond. There are some old pedunculate oaks with trunk diameters of 80-120 cm, linden trees and chestnuts.
