The park is used as a public recreational park and social meeting place. The park grounds include a large lawn, a playground, a toboggan ramp, circular paths around the ponds and numerous benches for relaxing. Joggers and cyclists use the park for their sporting activities. Since 2009, the people of Borsdorf have been celebrating the "Island Festival" in their park, which takes place every year in June.
