Every Tuesday and Saturday at 16 p.m., the museum in the "Round Corner" offers a tour of the former Leipzig Stasi headquarters. This gives you the opportunity to gain insight into otherwise inaccessible rooms away from the exhibition rooms of today's museum. On a tour of the bunkered shelters in the second basement floor for use in the event of war, the waiting area of the in-house polyclinic and the in-house bowling alley of the Ministry for State Security, you can also discover the rooms where documents were once destroyed.
Another topic of the tour is the development of the area on the Matthäikirchhof into a "Forum for Freedom and Civil Rights", which is surrounded by a debate about the importance of preserving the historic building complex.
The tour of the site starts every Tuesday and Saturday at 16 p.m. in the entrance area of the memorial in the "Round Corner".
